I'm a computer scientist, driven by a passion for design, navigating the challenges of transitioning across industries in the real world, and ultimately finding my calling in the evolving field of UI/UX design.
I graduated from the University of Port-Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria with a Computer Science degree, brimming with ambition. I quickly realized the gap between my academic knowledge and the demands of the real world.
I soon discovered my passion for design, captivated by the power of bringing imagination into reality. I embarked on a self-taught journey in graphic design using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
A few years after, I built "PrintStudio," my own digital media business, successfully creating hundreds of designs for various clients.
In 2020 during Covid, I encountered frustration with poorly designed apps, sparking my interest in UI/UX design. I recognized the opportunity to make a significant impact on user experience. which drove me into the world of UI/UX, starting with a Google UX course with my prior design experience giving me an edge.
In 2023, enrolled in a full-time UI/UX program at Fanshawe College, Canada, eager to hone my skills and build a successful career in this evolving tech landscape
In 2025, alongside graduating with President's Honors Roll, I participated in the Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan) National Skills for Success Hackathon which had participants from 30+ institutions across the country, and my Team won! We were tasked with reviewing a website for accessibility, adaptability, and inclusivity, ensuring compliance with WCAG guidelines. This experience allowed me to apply my knowledge in user research, prototyping, accessibility, and collaboration. Working as a team was key to our success—our synergy, problem-solving, and brainstorming sessions all paid off.
Regardless of the cultural adjustments and academic pressures in a new country, I exceled in my studies; applying my unique perspective and creative vision to several academic and client projects. I continue to build confidence in my abilities and envision a future where I contribute to innovative and user-centric products that will change the World.
If I'm not on a Tropical Island soaking in the Sun and sipping a Coco Loco, you'll find me on the WWW researching design systems or new ideas incorporating AI (Rave of the moment factor) while binge watching another law and order series, and making tweaks to my portfolio or you'll find me at the Gym getting my daily dose of endorphins.
